Camelo, a vibrant funk-pop band from El Salvador, emerged onto the music scene in 2017 with their infectious energy and unique sound. Witnessing their journey since their humble beginnings has been a privilege, allowing me to contribute to their growth and evolution as a designer. As they prepared to return after a pandemic-induced hiatus in 2023, they embarked on a rebranding endeavor to refresh their image and reflect the maturity they had attained over the years.
Inspired by the vibrant aesthetics of the Y2K era, Camelo aimed to realign their visual identity with the fresh and innovative musical direction they were exploring. Departing from their previous tropical-themed visuals, they adopted a new aesthetic that captured the essence of their artistic and personal growth. This rebranding journey not only signifies a new chapter in Camelo's career but also highlights the dedication of its members to their craft. Collaborating with artists like Camelo has been an enriching experience, allowing me to contribute creatively to a movement that resonates with audiences worldwide.

As part of the branding development, our team embarked on some super fun social media initiatives, including a campaign to generate excitement for the relaunch of our brand. The campaign consisted of a series of hilarious videos that explained why our band had taken a hiatus. We presented it as a mockumentary in three parts, which showcased a group therapy session. The band, along with our amazing team members, Marcela Vega (Manager) and Mairiam Vidaurre (Content Creative), collaborated to create this fantastic and engaging campaign. The result was a cohesive and fun-filled campaign that got our fans and new audiences alike super excited!
